The system is suitable for all types of window frames, including uPVC, aluminium and timber. It is particularly practical for uPVC frames, where drilling is often not preferred, but it can be used just as effectively on wooden or aluminium frames.
Installation is based on magnetic strips. One magnetic strip is placed on the window frame and one on the Smart Frame itself. The frame can then be positioned securely in place. The result is a clean finish without permanent fixing.
Because the honeycomb blinds are mounted directly onto the frame, they remain in position when the window is tilted or fully opened.
Blinds for French doors and patio doors
Doors require blinds that stay close to the glass and allow normal operation. Smart Frame is suitable as blinds for French doors and blinds for patio doors, as the system is mounted directly onto the door frame and moves together with the door.
This allows the doors to open and close smoothly. The handle remains accessible. The close fitting design provides privacy and light control while maintaining a neat appearance.
Blackout honeycomb blinds for tilt and turn windows
For rooms where light control is essential, such as bedrooms and nurseries, Smart Frame is available with blackout honeycomb blind fabrics. The blackout version is designed to block incoming light completely, allowing you to create a fully darkened room when required.
Because the honeycomb blinds are fitted directly within the Smart Frame system, the fabric sits securely inside the frame for a fully enclosed finish.
Smart Frame honeycomb blinds with integrated technology
Smart Frame honeycomb blinds are Motionblinds powered and equipped with a Bluetooth motor. The motor is integrated neatly within the system and operates quietly and smoothly.
The blinds can be controlled via your smartphone using the Motionblinds Bluetooth app. You can adjust the position precisely and set timers so the blinds open and close automatically at set times during the day. This allows you to align light control with your daily routine.
For wider smart home integration, you can add a Matter bridge. This enables connection with compatible smart home platforms, allowing the blinds to be included in automated routines, scenes and voice control systems. Through this integration, the blinds can respond to schedules or other smart home settings.
