Motionblinds Matter bridge CM-55

Bluetooth only
Smartblinds with a Bluetooth motor can be controlled directly using the MotionBlinds Bluetooth app. Within Bluetooth range you can open and close your window coverings and set timers. Without a bridge control works only locally from the app and the Smartblinds cannot be connected to a smart home platform.

Bluetooth + Bridge (MotionBlinds CM-55)
With the MotionBlinds CM-55 bridge you add full smart home integration. This MotionBlinds Matter Bridge CM-55 enables remote control and allows you to connect your blinds to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings. The bridge functions as a MotionBlinds Wi-Fi Bridge (motionblinds wi-fi bridge) that makes it possible to create scenes, automations and routines so your Smartblinds become a seamless part of your smart home setup.

The MotionBlinds Matter Bridge CM-55 and the Matter Motor both offer Matter support, but in different ways. The bridge is designed for existing MotionBlinds Bluetooth motors, while the Matter Motor connects directly to a Matter network.

Matter Bridge (MotionBlinds CM-55)
The MotionBlinds Matter Bridge converts Bluetooth signals into a Matter connection. This allows existing Smartblinds to be integrated into a Matter compatible smart home. The bridge uses WiFi for the Matter connection.

Matter Motor
The latest Smartblinds motors have built in Matter support. They connect directly to Matter via WiFi or Thread without requiring additional accessories.

Which solution do you need?
If you have Smartblinds with a Bluetooth motor, you need the MotionBlinds Matter Bridge CM-55 for Matter integration. If you have new Smartblinds with a Matter Motor, no bridge is required.
