Measuring insurance for extra peace of mind
Measuring your windows for made-to-measure window coverings is straightforward, but mistakes can happen. With Smartblinds measuring insurance, you can place your order with extra peace of mind.
If you discover after delivery that the measurements you provided were incorrect, we will help you replace the product with the same one in the correct size, subject to the terms of our measuring insurance.

How does measuring insurance work?
Measuring insurance is available for all our window coverings and can easily be added when you place your order. If you discover after delivery that you provided the wrong measurements, you can make use of the measuring insurance subject to the terms below.

Add measuring insurance
Configure your window coverings and add your products to the shopping cart. You can then select measuring insurance in the shopping cart.

We will calculate the cost
Measuring insurance costs €15 per product and is automatically applied to all window coverings in your order. The total is calculated automatically. For example, if you order three products, you will pay 3 × €15 = €45.

Made a measuring mistake?
Report the incorrect measurements to Smartblinds within four weeks of delivery via [email protected]. If the measuring error meets the terms of the insurance, you will receive the same product in the correct size.
Why choose measuring insurance?
At Smartblinds, your window coverings are made especially for your windows using the measurements you provide. By taking your time and following our measuring instructions, it is usually easy to get the dimensions right. Even so, measuring mistakes can happen, particularly when measuring several windows or where window frames are not exactly the same throughout.
Measuring insurance gives you extra peace of mind if this happens. If you discover after delivery that you provided the wrong measurements, you will not have to pay the full price for the same product again. Provided the measuring error meets the terms of the insurance, we will make the same product again in the correct size.

If you would like to make use of our measuring insurance, the following terms apply.
Report your measuring error within four weeks
Report the incorrect measurements to Smartblinds within four weeks of delivery via [email protected].
What counts as a measuring error?
We consider it a measuring error if the measurement differs by 1.5 cm or more for curtains or 0.5 cm or more for all other window coverings.
For Smart Frame, the measuring profile is required
For a Smart Frame, the measuring insurance only applies if you have ordered the Smart Frame measuring profile from our website and used it to take your measurements.
Return the incorrectly measured product
You are responsible for the cost of returning the incorrectly measured product. We recommend keeping the original packaging so you can return the product safely.
You will pay any difference in product price
If the new dimensions make the replacement product more expensive, you will only need to pay the difference between the original and new product price.
You will receive the same product in the correct size
Your chosen design and specifications will stay the same. Only the dimensions will be changed.

You can return the incorrectly measured product using a parcel delivery service of your choice. You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
