Compatibility Smartblinds & Google Assistant

Smartblinds smart window coverings is compatible with Google Assistant. While for Apple HomeKit you no longer need a bridge, due to the innovative Thread protocol, for Google Assistant and Android you still do. For this, you will need to add the MotionBlinds Wi-Fi bridge to your order. Using this bridge, you can then also control your Smartblinds via Google Assistant & Android. Pairing Smartblinds with Google Assistant

Follow the steps below to pair your Smartblinds with Google Assistant.

1. Download the MOTION app from the Google Play Store

2. Connect your Smartblinds with the MOTION app - Please note that you will need the MotionBlinds Wi-Fi bridge for this!

3. Add the MOTION app to your Google Home

And that's all you have to do! Your Smartblinds are now paired with Google Home and you can start setting up your Google smart home.

Controlling smart window decoration with Google Home

You've found that pairing your smart window coverings with Google Home is a piece of cake. Once your Smartblinds is integrated with your Google smart home, you can set up how and when you want your smart window coverings to perform certain actions. For example, you can set your smart roller blinds or other smart window coverings to go up automatically at 8 a.m. every morning and down at a time later in the day. You can also have multiple smart devices in your home working together and create your own scenes. Prefer to control your window blinds with your voice? That's possible too. Simply control your window coverings with voice commands through your Google Assistant. The possibilities of smart home window coverings are endless. Use your creativity and enjoy smart living!

Create smart routines with Smartblinds

With Google Home you have the possibility to create your own routines. For example, you can set it to perform several actions when you say 'Hey Google, good morning'. Find out how to create a routine below.

1. Open the Google Home app

2. Click on "Routines" and choose the routine you'd like to change

3. Click on the 'Edit' icon and customise the routine as you see fit

4. Add the action for raising your Smartblinds

The Google Home app lets you manage all your smart devices in one place. Let your Smartblinds automatically work together with other smart devices in your home. For example, you can set your smart blinds or other window coverings to raise automatically and your smart lighting to switch off at the same time when you are the last to leave your home in the morning.
