Sustainability

It is common sense to us that as a person and a company, you strive to be good to the world around you, to your fellow man, nature and the environment - and take responsibility for this. That is why we at Smartblinds are constantly looking at our role in the whole picture and are trying to do better each day. In everything we do, we try to make good and responsible choices for a positive impact on the world around us and its preservation.

Sustainable production

At Smartblinds, we believe in the sustainable power of good design. No fuss, just beautiful, responsible products that do what they are supposed to do with a timeless appeal. The positive effect they have on how you feel makes you want to keep them longer, cherish them and enjoy them again and again. This gives them a lasting quality that is not only good for people, but also for the environment. Our offering stands for timeless design, convenience, individuality, connectivity, quality and durability. The Smartblinds have a modular design, are made of high-quality materials and recycled fabrics, and assembled in Europe.

Textiles made from recycled PET

By converting recycled PET bottles into window covering textiles, we contribute to reducing the amount of waste in the world. In this way, Smartblinds creates sustainable smart window coverings that can save energy in homes and buildings.

30% less impact

During the production process, 50% less energy and water is used compared to conventional polyester fabrics. As a result, our sustainable Eco-friendly fabrics have 30% less impact on the environment.

How smart window coverings contribute to sustainability

Smart window coverings contribute to making your home more sustainable. The combination with smart home makes it possible for your electric blinds or day and night blinds to lead a life of their own. This way you let the window coverings in your home go up and down automatically in different weather conditions, which saves you energy costs. By cleverly dealing with the power of the sun you contribute to a pleasant climate in the house. For example, in the summer period, you automatically lower your blinds when the sun shines strongly, keeping the heat out as much as possible and reducing the need to use your air conditioning. In the winter, on the other hand, your window covering regulates that the sun warms up your house, so that you don’t have to warm it up that much.
