MotionBlinds Wi-Fi bridge

With the MotionBlinds Wi-Fi bridge, you pair Smartblinds with smart home platforms other than Apple HomeKit, such as Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, for example. Discover the most frequently asked questions about this accessory below.

How come my Smartblinds are not responding?

Are your Smartblinds not responding? If so, it could be due to the following factors:

  • The motor's battery is flat > Charge the motor (see motor manual)
  • RF failure > Make sure the engine's bridge/antenna is away from metal objects.
  • The distance between the bridge and the motor is too long > Position the bridge closer to the blind.
  • The bridge is off > Turn on the bridge.

I get the message 'can not pair your bridge', what should I do?

If you get the message 'can not pair your bridge', you can try the following actions:

  • Incorrect password > Restart the installation wizard and use the correct password. The password is case-sensitive.
  • The router does not provide an IP address to the bridge > Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. The middle LED turns red. Try adding the bridge again.

MotionBlinds Wi-Fi Bridge does not connect to my network (error code 20003)

The MotionBlinds Wi-Fi bridge works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Many Wi-Fi networks also have 5GHz Wi-Fi. Turn off the 5GHz Wi-Fi network temporarily. Then try connecting the MotionBlinds bridge to the Wi-Fi network again. After successfully connecting the MotionBlinds bridge to the Wi-Fi network, 5GHz can be enabled again.

MotionBlinds 5-channel remote control

In some cases, besides the endless smart home control options, it can also be convenient to control your Smartblinds with a remote control. This is possible with the MotionBlinds remote control.

How do I pair the remote control?

Select a channel on the remote control and press the programme button on the motor to activate programme mode. Your Smartblind will then start moving up and down. Then press the pair button on the back of the remote control to pair the blind to the selected channel. Once this pairing is established, your Smartblind stops moving for a moment. Now briefly press the programme button to switch off programme mode again. Your blind stops moving back and forth and can from now on be controlled with the remote control.
